CDA for Herts welcomes visitors
Grant Snapps MP for Welwyn Hatfield Grant Shapps, Welwyn Hatfield MP, visited our offices to learn about the work we do and our concerns on the funding and resourcing of voluntary and community groups. He is the Shadow Minister for Housing, and our discussion centred on rural affordable housing and how our efforts are helping in its planning, design and delivery We agree that this is the start of many conversations on the state of our sector!
We were delighted to host 8 Directors and Senior Officials from Shanghai’s local government. They were on a whirlwind 5 day tour, starting in Sunderland, down to York, London and finished their trip here in Hertfordshire! International visitors to CDA for Herts They were eager to learn about community development and how we interface with government, local structures, regional and central. Part of their role is developing cultural strategy and working with diverse communities. They, too, are trying to ensure inclusion and believe that the first steps are via cultural activities and subsequent engagement. As part of our cultural introduction, they enjoyed their Fish & Chips lunch with us.
